, posted on Tuesday 28 July 2015 The location of this job is in an existing brook,we will need to divert the water through 2no 600mm twin wall plastic pipes,we will then create a piling platform on the top.The purpose of these holes is to concrete a steel column in every 2 metres in length to support a retaining wall, they will basically doing the same job as a CFA pile. -
C C Ground Investigations Ltd, posted on Tuesday 28 July 2015 Kevin Will a 300mm diameter hole suffice ? And how restricted is the access ? will a 3.5 tonne rig be ok ? Regards CCGIKEVIN QUINN, posted on Tuesday 28 July 2015 The structural engineer has proposed a 400mm diameter CFA with a steel column cast into it.The access is not really a problem, the job is in an existing brook, where we need to divert the water through 2no 600mm twinwall plastic pipes and then create a piling platform on the top,so obviously the rig does not want to be to heavy.
