I have fair credit and i want a mortgage. I have been paying back a loan with my bank and have 1 payment left. I did defer on credit card payments when i was young but have built up my credit since. I have a deposit and preferably would like a 5% mortgage for a property no more than £70,000 wich is quite expensive for property values in mya area. Im desperate for a mortgage i have a good paying job as does my partner, we are currently renting and i hate that we are wasting the money on it. I applied for a joint mortage with a bank and it got rejected, so i will go alone as my partner has bad credit. Too scared to try a bank alone as i do not want to be rejected again and have it go against my credit, have heard brokers are good. Please can you help me? I want nothing more than to own my own home. Thank you.
