My Grandfather's black mantel clock, presented to him on the occasion of his marriage (30/04/1909}, is in need of some serious restoration back to working order. It should chime on the hour and half hour. I have tried to repair it myself without success.The movement is not the original. I bought on eBay a replacement movement, but that is not quite the right fit. I have retained the original movement, but that requires a new spring and the front glass door needs to be replaced. I have most of the of the fixing screws. The clock hands need to be replaced or refitted.
