We have recently taken possession of 7 Gleneagles Close on the Monkton Park estate in Chippenham. The house has a single room downstairs with a separate kitchen, and an integral garage approx 21 ft by 9 feet. We are hoping to convert the garage to a living room. This will require a window (possibly a Velux window) for light and ventilation. Will we need planning permission for this? We don't need this done by Christmas!! We hope the work can be done in the first quarter of next year.
