Hi , I’d like to ensure that my new dishwasher and refrigerator are connected safely and in accordance with electrical standards. At the moment, there’s only one wall socket in the kitchen (currently used by the refrigerator), and I’d like to avoid using any extension cables or plug splitters. The dishwasher hasn’t been installed yet — it’s scheduled for installation about a week after next. Before that, could someone please: Inspect the existing kitchen circuit to confirm whether it can safely handle both the dishwasher and the refrigerator. If not, install a dedicated 16A socket (and circuit if necessary) for the dishwasher, with proper grounding and protection. Verify that the refrigerator socket is on a separate or suitable circuit for continuous operation. Ensure that everything complies with local electrical codes and safety standards. Please also provide a quote for any potential work required.
