I want tax advice on a property that had belonged to my father in law - but was put into my husband's name & rented for 4.5 years whilst my father in law lived with us. funds were used for my father in laws care but rental income was shown on my husband's tax return as we own other rental properties. My father in law has passed away & after all care expenses of 4.5 years - the property value needs to be split with two other siblings. We want to keep the property and my husband has been working abroad coming onto 4 years therefore he is a non resident - he will still carry on working abroad for at least another 18 months. I need advise on what r the tax implication - future CGT - I am a management accountant myself but do no specialise in current property tax implications. I need advise on this matter & our other rental properties for the future. There I need a tax specialist on rental properties, inheritance tax and non resident tax implications. Thank you
