Closed Rebooting BMS on mobility folding scooter

I have a solax folding mobility scooter which has a lithium battery. While using it the battery was getting low and whilst riding it came under strain and cut out. I have put it on charge several times and it shows charging on the indicator but no charge in the battery when disconnected from the charger. I understand that they need rebooting but I don’t know how to do it. Kevan
