I need my 2006 Ford Ranger tdci engine fault diagnosed & repaired. The vehicle has NOT got an OBD socket, but does have an diagnostic system which is giving a code of 1189. Which apparently aquates to the fuel pump speed sensor. The vehicle wont start so if it needs to be repaired in a workshop it would need to be recovered. It also needs a broken glow plug removing. I had someone to diagnose the problem from a local garage but he lost interest when he couldn't find a socket for his computer, He just disconnected the harness plugs said that the connections were clean and suggested that the fuel filter was blocked. Replaced vehicle now refuses to start.
