Closed Car drivers seater repair

I have a poorly repaired rip in the drivers seat of a Nissan nv200 7 seater people carrier.
It is in the bit that your left hand side of the back just below the shoulder is the poorly repair (sewn) is about 12 cm long and can provide pictures if need be.
