- Dell Inspiron N5050 Around 4 years I spilled a drink over the keyboard area, attempted to dry it out. But have not been able to charge/turn on laptop since. Id like a quote on either full repair or just data retrieval if possible. I also have 3 other laptops I would like you to take a look at - Dell Inspiron 1520 Model PP22L The monitor snapped off, hanging only by wires. Still turns on when charged, however its been broken over 10 years and I cannot remember the password to sign in anymore, so Id like a quote on fixing the hinges and Id like to regain access to retrieve data - HP Intel Centrino (unknown model) roughly 14 years old. Have not attempted to charge as I dont have a charger, so quote is for charging to see if it still works and if its worth buying a charger for it. - Acer TravelNote 270 Series Model BY25 Several frame cracks, missing dvd rom cover, also not sure if it works & would like you to test this. Data recovery from working hard drives costs £100 which includes a USB drive for your files to be transferred to. Repairing hinges usually requires a full teardown and rebuild along with the hinge repair, these repairs are £120 which includes all parts required. Regarding the other laptops, I am happy to give a free appraisal on these and quote you afterwards if a repair / replacement charger is suitable. Testing and repairing would be done in our repair studio, you can drop them off with us at our Town Hall address in Wallsend (NE28 7AT) or I can come and collect and / or deliver them from you for a small fee.     Hybrid IT Services, posted on Monday 9 October 2023 Hi Emma, It would depend on parts availability for the older laptops for the likes of hinges similarly we'd have to check the hinge anchor points on both sides on the laptop clam shell. I'd prefer to have a one to one chat on the phone to understand what you want to achieve as these older laptops may not make financial sense to bring back to life.
