A curious request - however, my daughter has a dropped foot following a serious illness earlier this year. The NHS do not provide any suitable aid to enable her to wear 'normal' shoes, all the aids are cumbersome, uncomfortable and unsightly. As a young woman she is facing having to wear Uggs or converse as these are the only footwear that gives support around the ankle and down through her foot without some sort of 'aid'.
What we a looking for is a simple band in clear soft plastic about 3cm in width (like women's clear bra straps) that wraps around her ankle with an adjustable strap that extends down the front of her foot and attaches to another band around the ball of her foot. This would give her the leverage to keep her foot up when walking and be virtually unseen.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
