Hello, I’m clearing out my in-laws’ bungalow outside Northwich and there are a great many cans and aerosols of everything from paint, varnish, oils, thinners, turps, creosote etc to slug pellets, de-icer and weed-killers. Most of the stuff comprises consumer products such as car de-icer, white spirit etc. There is a lot of old paint, some engine oil and several items that are so old the label has worn off. In addition, I have found - a large container of fuel (petrol) - a container of old sump oil - a handful of propane/butane mix aerosols - a small unopened phial of mercury (intended, I think, to refill a barometer/thermometer) - some hypodermic needles (in an unopened, protective, plastic case - safe to handle) - three small fire extinguishers and an old fridge.
