  FAHIM ZAMAN, posted on Wednesday 19 July 2023 Car Reg - BG60 MUA. Every time you top up the coolant/water tank, the water empties. Sometimes temperature light comes on and a strange sound also you can hear. I went to a local garage where the mechanic did some checks and said coolant tank is fine, no leaks, exhaust pipe checked and there is some water leaking. Mechanic took Thermostat out and said drive the car and see if its okay. however, water leaks all leaking. He tried water pressure check but failed as caps did not fit the coolant tank cap. He now thinks it's the Head Gasket that needs replacing. So, every time I drive after topping up the coolant/water tank, water completely empties from tank.

  Specialist Autos, posted on Wednesday 19 July 2023 ok sounds like head gasket. we would supply and fit head gasket pressures test and skim the head check water pump if it needs replacing aswell you would be looking around £580. we would obviously first carry put our full diagnosis before starting removal of cylinder head . earliest we can get you in is friday 21/07/23
