Closed camping awning strengthening /adapt to prevent billowing in the wind

my camping sun canopy slides onto awning rail and has two supporting poles.
My problem is when windy billows in the centre.
i wondered whether a adhesive strip/ or sewn in strip could be attached to middle from awning rail to outer edge and an extra eyelet for a third pole.
