I am selling an apartment in Malaysia and my lawyer in Malaysia has sent me documents I need to sign and be witnessed by a consular or embassy official or a notary public. The documents only need the signature witnessed, no other notarisation is needed. The documents are 4 copies of the sales and purchase agreement, 4 copies of the Deed of Assignment, 2 copies of the Statutory Declaration and 2 copies of the Letter of Undertaking to Refund. I belief its only the signature page that needs witnessing.
