Time2shine, posted on Monday 3 July 2023 Hello Diana, well done on the dehumidifier, it will all want to be dry before anyone cleans it. I recommend lifting the carpet so underlay has chance to dry which will be very important. If you have a fan in the room along with the dehumidifier this will speed up the process. Happy to quote and advise I would need to come and see it but like I say best to do this in a few days. Mean time dry it out and vacuum lots when possible. Diana Webley Ward, posted on Monday 3 July 2023 Thank you for this advice. It is a fitted carpet, so difficult to lift. I have been vacuuming it and that seems to bring out the smell! The carpet is a type that is supposed to hold spills on the surface. Happy for you to visit and quote

Diana Webley Ward, posted on Wednesday 5 July 2023 I am struggling to send photos, but the carpet is mottled and only has a few marks where the plasterboard landed. It will be the dust and dirty water that landed on it causing more dirt.

Diana Webley Ward, posted on Wednesday 5 July 2023 I am struggling to load photos. The carpet is mottled brown and there are a few marks where the plaster board landed. Mainly it will contain dust and dirt from the escaping water dripping through insulation fibre.
