Closed Battery lawn mower repair

We have an old Bosch 36 volt battery mower. Using a multi meter I can see both batteries are showing 38/39 volts but the mower seems to stall after briefly starting (I suspect it may be the contacts or possibly the switch).
If anyone is interested in repairing please provide an indicative price and get in touch...
