There is a hard treacle-like substance at the bottom of the driver's door and wheel arch that I would like to be removed. It looks like it splashed on to the paintwork as I drove through it on the road. I've tried various car cleaning products but I'm scared it will take the paintwork off if I try too hard. The car is a silver Ford Focus (one year old).
