If no restriction, you are likely to inherit your wife's share of the house. If house registered in her sole name, or in your joint names with a restriction, it will go under your ex-wife's will. You should only deal with your ex-wife's executors or administrators - these may or may not be family members. Ask to see the grant of probate or letters of administration.
