• The Framing Centre, posted on Friday 3 February 2023 Hello, if you are wanting the canvas sheet stretched to canvas bars unfortunately it won't be able to go in a metal frame due to the depth. We can try and stretch it to a board instead which will then be thin enough to go in a metal frame. It won't have any glass either as we don't do glass with oil paintings. Many Thanks.

  The Framing Centre, posted on Friday 3 February 2023 Hi, Yes we have had a look and again if its going to be stretch to canvas bars the metals frames won't be big enough to fit it inside. If you stretch it to a board it will be a lot smaller to allow us to get it inside the metal frame. The metal frames aren't really designed for canvases as they are put together differently, but still have plenty of other options for you to choose from that will give the same effect. Hope that helps!
• Francis Iles, posted on Thursday 2 February 2023 Good afternoon There are a few problems with your request - We do not do a metal frame that can take a stretched canvas. We could mount down the canvas onto a backing , however because of the size we would not recommend a metal frame for a canvas of that size . A frame of that size should have a cross strut to hold the structure together and this is not possible on the metal frames we supply. We do have wooden black frames of various styles that would be suitable. Please get back to us if you would like more information

The attached image has painting with aluminum metal frame and also another diagram that shows how the frame look like. The canvas is first stretched in wood frame and then aluminum frame is added around it from what I can see. But you are the expert please suggest. Hope the diagram helps. Kind regards
