I have a Jeep Compass that keeps failing to start even though i have just purchased a new battery for it, when i try to jump start it from the battery terminals nothing happens but when i attach the negative to the engine block it turns over and starts, but then makes strange clicking noises from the right hand side of the engine and sometimes wont start again, and then for no reason it will decide to start. so i think there is an issue with the electrical system probably the earthing but im no mechanic and only guessing.
