Closed Welding for seatbelt anchorage/sills

My car has failed its MOT for the following reasons,
Seatbelt anchorage prescribed area strength or continuity significantly reduced (rear sill). This is on the nearside and offside.
The garage has advised me that it will require welding to repair.
Please can you let me know if this is something you can repair, and if so, when I can get the car booked in.
