Closed Retro Mk11 DAB radio - LED screen very dim and difficult to read

I have a Retro MK11 DAB radio with bluetooth and an Apple dock for lightning devices. It is working except that the LED information display is very dim so very difficult to read. I find it difficult to change between the different modes or even tell whether the radio is switched or not. Can this be repaired and if so what would the cost be?
