Dental advice, have swollen gums and lip and front of chin area sore to touch after having dental splint to hold bottom front loose tooth in place to keep it stillchin sore. I went to my dentist last week with a loose bottom front tooth which became very sore due to catching it all the time and trying to eat was a no go due to toothache through it he stated after an xray that some bone had come away from the tooth and to save having it out and leaving a nasty gap at front of mouth i opted for a splint at front attached to surrounding teeth and a pasty substance which dried like enamel behind back of teeth when done the pain went away and tooth seemed fine and no longer loose and felt great now a week later the tooth is now still in set position but real bad toothache has returned and is so sensitive. I can't eat a thing and my bottom gums really thick swollen and very sore to touch as is my lip and chin area near the tooth yet I can't see any sign of abcess but is swollen inside the mouth right near the bottom teeth in question I've had no sleep last night and still the mouth area of face is very tender to touch and my jaw feels cagey and sore now.
