I do not gold plate hear in my workshop ... your ring has possibly made in the Far east , silver is a soft metal , 18ct red gold is a harder more durable precious metal , infact 18ct red gold is the hardest gold alloy of them all , only platinum is harder more durable precious metal .   lasting Impressions Bespoke Goldsmiths, posted on Wednesday 13 April 2022 Desr Ruby , I would need to see the ring , measure the stones , all to quote you 9ct red gold is softer and less costly compared to the more durable 18cr red gold , quality of stones etc But With todays precious metal prices well over £1000 ... as a guestimate without seeing your ring I have Just made a pair of 18ct yellow gold shell stud earrings ... direct mould off a sea shell Once made they were £2,780.00 About the weight of two wedding rings for the pair of 18ct yellow gold shell earrings , I will be popping the pictures on my google my business listing soon I sized a 22ct gold 1933 plain wedding ring the other day for a lady .... to remake this at 2022 gold prices in 22ct gold , only one hour fo me to make it it woulf be around £950.00 So alot of factors can alter the price of an item ref the precious metal alloy and it's purity and the quality of the stones used Happy Easter Kind regards Ian
