Hi, I work at the Dalton Cumbrian Facility (University of Manchester) at Westlakes Science Park. In one of our pieces of equipment we sputter sacrificial pieces of metal. Until now we have done this by pressing metal powder into a conical pit in an aluminium shell, However I think it would be more efficient a possible cheaper to make the entire cathode out of a machined-to-fit metal rod. The dimensions are approximately 7cm top diameter, 9 cm bottom diameter, 7cm tall (I can email photos / more details measurements - these were measured by hand with a Vernier calliper, if interested I will send / bring over the wheel it has to fit in so you have the actual aperture to test against). What sort of quote could you do for say, Nickel, or Iron (high purity for both preferably)? If it changes the quote, we’d be open to buying in bulk, probably double figures quantity. What would be the turnaround time? Kind Regards, Nick
