Closed Grandmother clock refurbishment

I have recently inherited a grand mother clock don't know if it works,it is quite big. I think William ray of bury st Edmonds made it, there are signatures on the back of the face ranging from 1847 -1861 is it worth doing it up if not i will chop it up. Any idea how much it would cost to do it up, as it is so big I would be looking to get it done up at home any advice would be appreciated.
