I have designers in the process of drawing me 2D engineering drawings and 3D models of a motorbike housing that I have designed for production. There are some mechanical elements to this product, however the main concept involves the housing being made from toughened plastic with an arched roof. The housing will consist of three sides locked into place by the roof. There will be a steel roller shutter and metal ribs inside of the housing. For the prototype the measurements roughly will be 6ft long x 3ft wide x 5ft high. Exact measurements will be available on completion of drawings. For production we would need to choose from a couple of options 1. Do we manufacture bespoke sizes of housing i.e. One size for sports bikes, one for tourers and one for cross/ trail bikes or 2. Do we make to order in which case what would the turnaround time be. Our drawings should be available in the next few weeks in order to build a prototype. We have a marketing team working with us and the hope is that we go into production Feb/March If there are any companies interested in working with us who feel that they may be able to manufacture our concept please contact me.
