Good afternoon My Dad’s ashes are interred at Warwick cemetery. My Mum has passed away and after her funeral, we wish to start plans to have her ashes interred with him. I have spoken to Sam Blevins at Oakley wood crematorium, and have been advised they will charge a fee of £115 to add an inscription, even though it’s a replacement stone, as the other fees were already paid when I sorted Dad’s interrment. They state the stonemason I chose will usually send a formal application to the cemetery authorities for the right to replace the memorial and this is what the £115 is for not subject to VAT. They have stated their rules stipulate that the plaque should be; 600mm wide x 457mm front to back 50mm thick 600mm x 600mm inclusive of foundation and flower container Flat plaque/tablet polished black to read: AT REST KEITH LATHAM 20.9.08 VALERIE LATHAM 23.8.21 BELOVED PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS The current plaque will need removing prior to interment date which has not yet been arranged. Are you please able to supply me with a quote Thank you Karen Cheesman
