I am looking for grief counselling and related anxiety and depression. I need to understand how to deal with some significant loss both in childhood/adolescence, as well as more recently a sibling passing just a couple of years ago that represented a more probably greater loss. I am struggling with daily anxiety due to some challenges around both home and work life, and have periods of what i'd describe as acute depression. These periods lead to suicidal thoughts, which serve then as a means of comfort in terms of how I can focus on the planning of it. I need to find a means of breaking this chain of thought process, and understand whether my grief is not yet dealt with, and/or whether my home life and its associated stresses are the cause of my general and regular anxiety. I am making some early exploratory efforts to understand what different types of either counselling, or psychotherapy are available to help. I need to understand the cost and personal emotional commitment involved as the thought of entering this process is also the source f some anxiety. Thanks CiaranRead more
