My shower is dripping. I've had somebody look at it before, and they said it was most likely a worn-out rubber gasket / washer inside the mechanism that controls temperature / water flow, if I've understood them correctly. That mechanism is built into the wall, so I was told that any repair would require tearing open the tiles and the wall. My question is whether it cannot be repaired without tearing open the wall. Or, in the alternative, whether another solution cannot be found. The shower hose comes directly out of the wall, too - I've been thinking it might be possible just to build in a stop at that point, some sort of valve that could just be added between the hose and where it is attached? Please let me know - thanks a lot in advance. AlexRead more
