I am investigating the possibility for a stone mason to carve the words BRISBANE HOUSE on a stone lintel above a front door. The house was built in 1899. The lintel is wider than the door and fairly deep and probably made of sandstone which has been painted. If it is not a viable job the I would consider a plaque with the same lettering to be fitted onto the lintel. Thanks for any advice from someone who could carry out the job and give a ball park idea of price.Read more
