I would really appreciate a one or two bedroom flat in sheltered housing. If a lift is provided then it doesn't matter which floor it is on. My only daughter lives and works in London, so knowing I'm in sheltered accommodation would give her peace of mind. I nursed my late husband for 9 years before he sadly passed away at the age of 40 in 1985. During these years I caused damage to my lower back as my husband was mostly wheelchair bound, and had to be taken to the toilet, but thankfully, two nurses would come each morning to get him up, wash and dress him but I would feed him. Once they had finished helping him they usually left about 9.30 am and then returned the following day. I was very grateful for their help and consideration.Read more
