    Repair AND purchase:- We have a Lexus which has a parasitic drain. An auto electric specialist came to look at the car. This is what he found: - This is due to the parasitic drain from the onboard body control module which is discharging the vehicle when it's switched off - The discharge rate is 0.4 amps - The body control module also powers the audio module which is another item that can sometimes have this parasitic drain problem We need to determine which part of the body control module is failing to switch off and then have it repaired/replaced. Could you repair it & then Part Exchange it for another car? If not, do you know anyone who could fix the issue?  This is what we're looking for in the replacement vehicle:- for it to be less powerful than the is250  - something comfortable as I have multiple back issues and am negatively affected by bumps/dips in the road and by the car jerking  - a car that won't be damaged if it's only used locally i.e multiple trips per week but no longer than 20 minutes each time - no leather  We have driven a Honda Civic, a Lexus IS200, the IS250, a Suzuki and another which I can't recall.
