    I have a chest of drawers, not solid wood but cherrywood veneer with 5 drawers manufactured by STAG FURNITURE and I have been using it since I bought it from Waring and Gillow of Lancaster in 1989. The drawers work on some kind of ball bearinged mechanism so that they can be opened and shut smoothly and individually. Now I have a problem of keeping the drawers shut as the they keep sliding back open every time I try to push them inside to shut. Some of them I have to exert force to get them shut as they lost the original smooth gliding movement.
