Hi. I need a new office chair. I'm tall - just under 6ft 6in. I don't know if my legs are unusually proportioned or something but standard office chairs simply don't work - they just don't go high enough. My criteria: 1) Seat height MUST go up higher than normal - ideally up to 70cm or 66cm at absolute minimum. Posture guidelines generally state that your seat should be higher than your knees. The underside of my legs (with shoes on) is approx 59cm off the ground so I'd need the seat to be a bit higher than that. With cushions etc, my current seat height is approx 62cm and I find even that too low by a little bit. 2) Good back support - I have suffered with back pain (mostly upper but sometimes lower) for years. Comfy - This will be an office chair used for multiple hours. Draftsmans chairs are generally only aimed a short term use and don't have the comfort of the more traditional executive style office chair which I'm looking for. 3) Adjustable armrests. Budget ideally no greater than £400. Even that's a lot for a chair.Read more
