  We have dry rot in our house but, before the guys treat it , they want us to ask drainage specialists to check the possible sources of the problem. There is dampness in a downstairs wall below the window near a drain and it is possible there is a blockage (though no water is coming back up from the drain). A pipe was damaged by a car a couple of years' ago and that could be another reason. The dry rot guys said it may be necessary to have a CCTV camera to inspect the source of any problem.Read more

  Just bought a property and had a survey done and the report suggests possible wall tie failure. The property is a 3 bed detached at Norton Sheffield S8 8JD and was built circa 1956.
