Hi, I have a SATA hard drive that has failed. I have tried a few programs to retrieve my files, but no joy. I have not formatted the drive & it spins ok, just got a usb to sata cable & it picks up the drive, but says it needs formatting ( Ihave not done this as I am afraid of losings 12 years of work which is on there.
