    I assume I need an osteopath but keep an open mind towards other treatments. I am, or was, an active 69 year old man with type 2 diabetes under good control. I have had three falls in the last six months resulting I feel in the following problems. I tripped on a top step leaving a station and went down heavily on left knee and heel of left hand with shock transmitted to the shoulder. This is slowly improving with ice packs. The wooden deck at home was slippery and I went down on my back as I slid on the steps and hit the back of my neck on one step and back further down. That was about six months ago. Recently I felt a sensation around my right knee like I had walked into a cobweb. This seems to have developed into a mild tingle in that leg. I have found I cannot put any weight on either leg as it feels it will give way. I am sure lack of confidence is playing a part as I am having to be very careful. Apart from that I get the usual lower right back pain when carrying heavy shopping in left hand or when I am leaning over the sink washing up I feel it.Read more
