The result of ill-fitting shoes in my childhood and youth, has gifted me a 'high-arch' left foot. The heal, ball of the big and small toe are the persistant contact points when walking, resulting in the build up of hard skin at those points. I have a tool, similar to a safety razor, to remove this hard skin when it becomes painful to walk (every 3/4 weeks). This cycle has become tiresome to me. I am therefore seeking a remedy that will manage the problem more efficiently and be less intrusive than using a safety razor. Perhaps a prosthetic to support the high-arch in conjuction with treatment to mitigate against the build up of hard skin. Being conscience of pain as you walk is debilitating and restrictive, you seek flat even surfaces, you shy away from rough paths, country hickes, gravel surfaces etc I'd like to think my problem simple with well established solutions. I therefore look forward to your early responces.Read more
