  I have a Celestron C4-R refractor 1000mm which I think is quite old. I bought it second hand. My issue with it is that I don't think the lenses are aligned as I get a ghosting effect when viewing through. I have changed the rack & pinion focuser to a skywatcher to replace the old original one and had to re-drill the tube as the original holes had stretched so there was slight movement which I thought might have been the problem. Also I don't know how to collimate a refractor.Read more
