  My car (2009 VW Polo 1.2 petrol) has an issue where the ABS and Handbrake lights come on together at random times along with the power steering warning light coming on and cutting out the power steering meaning the car must be steered manually. When the ignition is turned on and off it works normally again. I took it to a garage who diagnosed it as a fault with the alternator, this was replaced with a new one and belt but the problem still persists.Read more
