Pembroke House is period building in Chelston. Its not listed but is in a conservation area. We moved into the house three years ago. It has become apparent little maintenance was carried out for many years. After this years storms the main roof has suffered damage. Although not leaking (yet) guttering has failed, flashings have blown free, fascias and soffits are damaged. We know the roof requires felt and better insulation. We need to get these works done soon but there might be an opportunity to unlock potential roof space (there are good views) We should consider installing solar panels at the same time as repairing/replacing the roof. We are looking for someone local who is prepared to take on this relatively small job, advise us on the best way forward, prepare drawings to obtain permissions, find a builder/roofer and ensure the work has been carried out correctly.Read more
