Good Afternoon I live in a converted barn just south of Shipston on Stour. We have a garage at the back of our barn, which (on the inside) we have made into an office with Sisal flooring and a long desk. The electric slide up garage door, however, is still in place so it still feels like a garage which is what we want to change. As such, we are starting to look into the possibility of having the automatic door on the garage completely removed and making the garage space feel like much more of a liveable office-style room. We know that we are going to have to submit some initial plans to the local planning office (a Lawful Development Certificate) to ascertain whether or not we need planning permission (we don’t believe we do, but still need to go through this process). In order to do so, we are looking to get a simple sketch / sketches drawn up ASAP, and for a local architect to come around to meet with us. We look forward to hearing from you.
