Description St. Francis C.e Primary School, Oxford
The school is a happy and exciting place to learn where diversity is celebrated and efforts and individual strengths are recognised. They are proud of our inclusive approach and work hard to provide a nurturing environment in which all children feel safe and motivated to reach their potential, whatever their starting point.
We provide a broad curriculum with many opportunities for enrichment which add excitement and enjoyment to children’s learning and personal development. We believe all our children should have an equal opportunity to benefit from school visits and extra-curricular activities.
Older children from the Foundation Unit
Annually, several year groups participate in residential visits; year 4 to Slim Bridge, year 5 an activity weekend in Wales and year 6 spend a week at Kilvrough, the Oxfordshire County Council outdoor activity centre.
We welcome visitors to the school including theatre groups and we take our pupils to visit a range of local museums and events including the annual Oxford Literary Festival.
Extra-curricular activities available to pupils include after school clubs in netball, chess, art, recorders, running and a choir.
Pupils have the opportunity to learn the clarinet and regularly
We are an active partner in the ISIS partnership which provides many cultural and sporting opportunities for our children.
