Reviews of Lisa Hawkins - Ceramics & Glassware Repair

, 05 September 2019

Lisa has repaired two items for us, replacing a finger on a much treasured ‘Nao’ ceramic & a damaged Swarovski figure. Both items have been repaired with great skill & care. We are thrilled with the result of her labours.
Lisa is a delight to correspond with and everything is dealt with in a most professional way. The excellent courier service she used made it much easier for our ‘treasures’ to be repaired as we live quite a distance from her. Jacqui - Yorkshire

Lisa repaired a large marble decorative elephant which had been damaged in transit from India. The repair to the two damaged tusks was invisible. The service and advice I received was prompt, professional with excellent quality and good value. A top job done by Lisa thank you.

I had a glass pendant that unfortunately broke, Lisa was able to repair it, and it now looks good as new. Great communication and good value. I would certainly recommend Lisa and her work.

Thank you so much for the superb restoration you carried out on my limited edition ceramic. Your professional skill, and the resulting finished piece, is way above my expectation. Your attention to fine detail and ability to blend colour and tone is outstanding. Many congratulations and my thanks again. Robert, Galaria de la Gente, Gainsborough.

Lisa has just repaired a vase for me that got broken in transit from India. I am very pleased with the result and I thought the price was quite reasonable. I would certainly go to her again. Diana White

Used Lisa twice now and what a fabulous job she does. Put the antlers back on a deer and mended his leg plus built up a beak on an old bird ornament. You would not guess that either of these pieces had been repaired. Highly recommended A+++++++++++++++

Lisa carried out a fantastic job on my pair of flying barn owls. I have had these for about thirty years and the very thin branch they fly off had bent and broken in two, do to the weight of the birds and gravity . Lisa not only reattached the owls to the branch but she constructed another branch to support the birds giving them strength and stability to avoid the same damage happening again. Would recommend her to anyone as her work is truly first class.

Following an unfortunate accident involving a small grand daughter and a cheap, but much loved china Scottie Dog, I contacted Lisa for help. His ear had broken off, with several chIpped bits and I duly dispatched these to her. I am completely delighted with the result of her expertise - his broken ear is fixed and I couldn't even remember which ear it was - and couldn't find a join to decide! So grateful - worth every penny of the cost! Lisa kept in touch re her progress throughout and the posting and delivery process went very smoothly.

I asked Lisa to repair two ornaments that were special to me. One was presented to me on leaving a job and was a handmade depiction of Stonehenge. The other was a limited edition porcelain statue of a Gurkha soldier holding the regiment's Queen's Truncheon, a revered regimental colour, which had been broken in many places over the course of many house moves. Lisa's work was of the highest order and I now have two fully restored, beautiful ornaments which bring back memories of two wonderful times in my life. Images of them have been attached.
