Act One Drama Studio has successfully run drama classes and workshops in Sheffield, since August 1994. Our goal is to give professional knowledge to our students by employing trained professionals. We want students to have fun and learn at the same time using acting techniques all can enjoy. Weekly drama classes and holiday workshops are for any student wanting to improve their confidence & acting ability. We run classes for 6-11 year olds, 11-16 year olds, 16-19 year olds and an Adult class.
Formed in 2002 by designer/animator Marcus Kenyon and illustrator Jonny Ford, deep in the industrial heart of Yorkshire, our aim is to provide well-crafted imagery to the masses.
Dead Earnest has a core team 5 artists and arts management and administration professionals, all of whom have had industry specific training and earned qualifications. In addition to this core team we have a wide pool of local actors and artists, as well as relationships with agents across the country.

Brightside Nursey Infant School is over 120 years old and is situated on the eastern edge of Sheffield, overlooking the Meadowhall Shopping Centre. The school is somewhat separated from its catchment by a busy road, and serves an area of privately owned and rented accomodation. Brightside Nursery Infant school is a large stone built school with a separate Nursery/Childrens centre building which has its own playground. School has a large yard to play in at break times. 'We like to play in our little wooden houses and swing on the bars. We have a wildlife garden which the children enjoy. We grow fruit and vegetables of all varieties, and we all enjoy, looking for mini beasts and different kinds of plants.

The Scout and Guide Shop ( Scout and Guide Supplies ) is one of the largest retailers of both Scout and Guide uniforms in the UK. It is wholly owned and financed by Sheffield Scouts and all its profits are used in supporting Scouts and Guides. As well as its various Internet sites he company maintains a full time ( Tuesday to Saturday ) retail shop situated in the centre of Sheffield. The company was formed in 1922 as the Equipment Department of the Scout District of Sheffield. When, in 1939 the District obtained its own freehold headquarters in the centre of the City, retail space was incorporated within it. Through the 50's and 60's the shop was expanded into a full retail shop and the complete range of Guide products was added. In recognition of this the trading title was altered to Sheffield Scout and Guide Shop. In an effort to develop the shops trading outside the movements the title was changed again in the 1996 to SGS Outdoors.
