St. Joseph’s College is a highly successful, over subscribed, mixed Catholic 11-18 school. The examination results are outstanding. The Ofsted inspection of December 2008 rated St Joseph's College as Outstanding in every respect. The richness of the curriculum extends throughout the school with pupils eagerly participating in a wide range of activities. For example singing, acting in performances, taking part in sporting activities and competitions such as 'Top of the Form' or playing a musical instrument. The school is further enriched by a wide variety of clubs that take place before and after the school day. These range from sports to gardening, skipping, choir, drama or playing a musical instrument. Pupils have the opportunity to participate in cycling proficiency. Outings are arranged to complement activities taking place in the classroom.
In 2004-05 pupils were offered a wide selection of extra curricular activities. Our KS2 children had the chance to take part in football/netball/rounders/cross country and swimming and represent the school in these areas. We offered a number of musical opportunities, these included a choir, a 'strings' group and tuition for various instruments. We also offered after school clubs in Drama/Art/Dance.Our choir took part in the Local Schools Music Festival, supported our high school's production & gave a Christmas performance at the Local Hospice.Approximately 30 of our children took part in the local school's Dance Festival.Our Year 4, 5 & 6 children all took part in residential visits.As well as French being part of our curriculum we also ran exta curricular clubs in French and Spanish.
St Ambrose Barlow School is a Roman Catholic Primary School for pupils? between the age of four and 11. There are currently 205 pupils? on roll. The school has voluntary aided status within the Archdiocese of Liverpool. The composition of the governing body reflects the importance that the church places on its role in education.

There has been a school in Abbotsham since 1851 providing education for the children of the village. In 1957 Abbotsham School amalgamated with the neighbouring parish school of Alwington, and St. Helen's became the school for both areas. The current school building was opened in 2004. These days pupils come from a wide area as parents exercise their right to choose a school.

Stapleford School is a Voluntary Aided School in the Diocese of St. Albans for children aged between three and eleven. Stockwell Infants School is a small, two-form entry school for Infants. It is situated on Stockwell Road between Stockwell and Brixton tube stations; and is also served by buses P5, 2, 322 and 345. The Infants School occupies the ground floor of a three storey, Victorian building shared with Stockwell Junior School. Security gates and video surveillance systems operate on site 24 hours a day. The Nursery is situated in a separate building within the school grounds and provides 100 part-time places. Children attend the Nursery from the age of three, providing that there is place available. It should be noted that there is no automatic right of transfer from the Nursery to full-time school. Parents who wish their children to attend full-time school make an application for a place in Reception.

Here year 1 pupils are on an autumn walk which provided stimulus for writing and science work. Pupils in our reception class visited Age Concern, Exmouth, to pass across the many Harvest contributions from our pupils. Age Concern were delighted with our gifts and will use them for shared social lunches for their members.
