As a relatively new school we are proud of our links with local schools and community. We use visits out and visitors to the school, as a way of linking school life to the wider experiences of the world beyond school. We work as a team to create a caring family feel to our school. We offer a good range of extra-curricular clubs and activities and have an on-site daycare and holiday care (Bridges). Our school council (elected by the children with representatives from each class) help us make decisions in schools - even interviewing teachers for their jobs!

Hawley Primary school is a Hampshire primary school catering for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. The school itself was founded in 1854 and now combines the Victorian building with newer facilities built in more recent years. The accommodation consists of 11 classroom bases, all with interactive whiteboards, a large hall, a playground and a large field space. The grounds also include an extensive outdoor learning area for children in Year R, a trim-trail, a vegetable garden and a pond area. The school was opened in 1979. It is a modern purpose built, semi-open plan building. It has two additional classes housed in a mobile classroom block at the rear of the school. This block was added in 1991. There is also an additional purpose built modular building, the Willow Room, provided by the school itself in 1997 which is home to our new and very successful nursery "Little Owls."All the buildings have toilet and cloakroom facilities with disabled toilets available in the main school building and in the Willow Room. In 1997 the administration block of the school was remodelled and extended to give an entrance hall and waiting area, a school office, a bursar's office, a medical room, a staff room and a headteacher's office. The school hall is used for physical education, music, drama and assembly.

We have an extended and completely refurbished Science and Technology block, four fully equipped ICT rooms and the Post 16 centre. All other classrooms have been decorated and carpeted to give us an excellent learning environment. The open corridors around the ‘quads’ have now been completely enclosed and there are new toilet facilities. Our library and dining areas have been upgraded.
Hunloke Park Primary School was opened in 1968 and provides education for children of primary school age. The school is situated on an attractive site on the southern outskirts of Chesterfield. It offers various after-school activities that may vary from term to term. These include cricket, dance, football, netball etc. Music has a very special place in the life of the school and there is a school orchestra and choir. The school is situated in the heart of the village adjacent to the Village Green. It is a Community Primary School for both boys and girls between the ages of four and 11. The school came into being in its imposing position overlooking the village green in April 1878, the Head Teacher, Mr G. Hanson or “The Master” as he was known was the sole teacher and was plagued by irregular attendance of the children mainly due to harvesting or crop picking. By 1883 there were 130 children on roll and at this stage the school acquired its second teacher Miss Gertrude Bell, who lived in the village until she was past 90 years of age. One outstanding feature of the history of Ingham school is that, in more than 130 years of existence it has had only 7 permanent Head Teachers. The inference must be that they liked the village, or the village liked them.
