The Birches School provides education for primary aged (2-11 Years) pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties, many of whom have additional sensory and physical impairments. As well as some children with autism. There are six places for pupils with Social, Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties. The school offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities for the children. Activities this year have been: Rock School Book Club Drumming Football Cricket Carnival Club Karaoke Dance Cheerleaders Choir Relaxation Board Games Sewing The school has entered teams in football, tag rugby, cricket and basketball tournaments. Children in Key Stage 2 have had the opportunity to have music lessons in keyboard and strings with visiting teachers from the county music service. Children in all classes have taken part in school trips to support learning in the classroom. The year 5 and 6 children enjoyed their residential visit to the Peak District. We have a large number of visitors to the school to enrich the curriculum. These have ranged from the Romans and Greeks to local hairdressers! The children particularly enjoyed the pantomime ‘Peter Pan’.

Warmington School is a small school with a big heart set in the delightful Northamptonshire village of Warmington. We have 3 classes; Hedgehogs for 4 and 5 year olds, Foxes for 5 to 7 year olds and Badgers for 7 to 9 year olds. In our playground we have a super climbing frame, a playhouse and a recently installed tyre park. We also have a small field for sport and games and a garden and wildlife area. We often see blue tits, chaffinches and woodpeckers in this area.

At West Bretton we believe that a child's introduction to school should be gentle and hassle-free (for all concerned!) That is why shortly before a child is due to start school they are invited to spend a morning in our Foundation class, meeting the staff and playing with their new friends. Teaching in Foundation Stage is based on the "Early Learning Goals". These are 6 areas of learning in which the children are assessed throughout their time with us. Our Foundation Stage benefits from having a large, well-equipped room with dedicated toilet and cloakroom facilities. We also have a secure, well equipped outside play area for our sole use, affording provision for daily outside play.

Wheldon is an 11-19 school, serving the area of Carlton, a pleasant, settled district to the north east of Nottingham. The school has now been rebuilt following a devastating fire in December 2002.
